Säntis with 2.502 m above see level is the highest point of the Alpstein massif in northeast Switzerland. Dominating all mountains around it belongs to a select club of only 13 alpine peaks with more than 2.000 m of prominence. Although there is a cable car to the top, hiking to the summit is definetly worthwile. Here we share some impressions of a route from Wasserauen (870 m) through Rotsteinpass (2.124 m) and finally the icing of the cake: the Lisengrat Via Ferrata!
