As a beginner and mountain lover I have always been interested in the Andes. Therefore it was not difficult to enthuse me. Anna and Emil have provided professional support since the very beginning and have always offered me assistance of whatever kind. The Crossing of the Andes was therefor an absolute dream! We have hiked from Chile to Argentina, all very well organized, with pure luxury Finca accommodations in between the sometimes for me hard trekking days. The whole trip was not only a hiking trip, but a wonderful adventure, which I would repeat immediately with Maipo Expeditions!

Why this trip? I always wanted to discover the Andes on unbeaten tracks and far from the touristic places. Crossing the Andes by foot was mentally and physically challenging for me, but the support of Emil and Anna has given me strenght to move forward. And I dit it! Sooo proud of myself! Breathtaking scenery, meeting humble local people, high quality stays and vegetarian food. What should I ask more. I will for sure be part of another trip organised by Maipo Expeditions. Thank you for this opportunity!

For me the Crossing of the Andes with Maipo Expeditions was like the icing on the cake of my 3-months trip through South America. Anna and Emil just organized everything perfectly and the trip was a great mix of effort and relaxation. By joining this trip I even got to know Argentina which originally was not even on my travel list and I really liked it! The Andes Crossing was doable for me, the landscapes spectacular and being above 4000 meter a totally new experience! I can well imagine to join another tour organized by Maipo Expeditions!

Through Anna and Emil I experienced Chile and Argentina from a very personal side, the proximity to the culture, people and nature to the fullest. The crossing of the Andes challenged you, but it became easier and more beautiful with every climb you made. Every step in this insane landscape revealed an incomparable beauty of this nature. I really appreciated the evenings with the gauchos by the fire. Climbing Maipo volcano was my personal highlight. After the happy conquest, we went to Mendoza. We celebrated, feasted and drank excellent wines. Overall, the trip was both an experience and a challenge. South America, I'll be back!

Crossing the High Tatras was an amazing experience, with stunning views and beautiful lakes. The good mood of our group helped to face the hard weather conditions and gave us strenght to continue the path without complications. Always happy to be part of a tour with Maipo Expeditions, Sandra

I enjoyed the trip to the core, was quite adventures which I never experienced in my previous trips, there were some breath-taking moments while passing through Tatras mountain ranges (especially with unexpected weather), met some really nice people on this trip. I will strongly recommend anyone who does not have any experience in trekking through mountain paths can believe in Anna and Emil and go with them (with any given condition on the day they will bring you back). The overall trip was well organized with food, accommodation and Slovakian schnapps. Here are some important words which you will probably hear either from Anna or Emil to keep you motivated throughout the trip – “15 or 30 mins”, “um die Ecke”, if you want to know the meaning of these words just go for a trip with these guys. - Yuva
